Secrets of the Handstand is ready to go!

Posted on Saturday 29 March 2008

It’s all ready to go. To find out about the program that’ll revolutionize hand balancing world check out the Secrets of the Handstand Quickstart Guide and Acrobat Accelerator program.

See you over there,
Logan Christopher

P.S. There’s a video on the page showing you ‘how’ to do a handstand. Find out what’s the joke only at http://www.lostartofhandbalancing.com/video.html

And the winner is…

Posted on Thursday 27 March 2008

Guesses went high and reached down low. But no one picked the right price.Perhaps you may accuse me of tricking you, but in the end you still win. Read on to see why.

What is the price? Well, here’s what its not.

Two different people guessed $127. Way off. Maybe if this was a 6 DVD set it might go for that price. Maybe they had just been here: http://www.lostartofhandbalancing.com/hbmastery.html.

$69. Nope. Not $59 or $39.99. Lots of guesses in the $15 to $30 range. A good guess and if I was sane it’d probably cost somewhere this much.

Even $14.99 and $9.99 are too much.

You see, I want to get this into as many hands as possible. That’s why the cost is…

F R E E

That’s right. I’m not going to charge for the Secrets of the Handstand Quickstart Guide.

All you’ll have to pay is shipping and handling for this package.

Why am I doing this? It’s a shameless bribe to get you to try out my Acrobat Accelerator program. I figure you’ll like the information so much you’ll stick around for more at the monthly rate of $24.95 ($29.95 International).

But the choice is up to you as to whether or not you stay in the group. This offer may not be around for long considering I’m taking on all the risk.

The full details will be ready up on the web this Saturday. I’ll send you a link than. And early next week the packages will go out.

My hope is these new video lessons will change how the acrobatic arts are taught.

Good Luck and Good Hand Balancing,
Logan Christopher

P.S. One fellow made three guesses. The last of which turn out to be correct.

“How many guesses do we get? If it’s one then I guess…$19.95, if it’s two then I also put forth $27.95, if you’re really nice I’d guess free? ;)
p.s. good videos and advice!”

I guess that makes me really nice. Since you did get it right and this is before I said ‘just one guess.’ I’ll be extra nice and give you a consolation prize. I’ll pay shipping for your package but you won’t get the extra two months. Fair enough? Email me your address Paul Klein.

Keep on Guessing and Win

Posted on Wednesday 26 March 2008

Wow, my inbox is flooded with guesses. And they’re all over the place.

In case you missed yesterday’s email I talked about many of the details of the Secrets of the Handstand Quickstart Guide and the new monthly Acrobat Accelerator program.

You can read about it on the blog:

http://www.lostartofhandbalancing.com/blog/secrets-of-the-handstand-dvd-details To sum up if you guess the correct price for the Quickstart Guide along with a trial month in the Acrobat Accelerator program then you win the Guide along with 3 months in the program for f r e e.

But I wasn’t clear on a few points so let me clear them up.

You are guessing for the initial price, not the price for the monthly program.

You are allowed one guess.

Your guess must be exact. No saying 50ish.

One person thought the length of the DVD might factor in. Good point.

It clocks in at just shy of 20 minutes. You’d be surprised just how much can be covered in that short amount of time.

The DVD’s in this monthly program are likely to be around the same amount of time but they may go longer whenever I feel it necessary or have a lot to share with you.

That wraps it up so send in your guess. I’ll be announcing the winner tomorrow along with the price. You just might be surprised…

Good Luck and Good Hand Balancing,
Logan Christopher

Secrets of the Handstand DVD details

Posted on Tuesday 25 March 2008

Here’s the full (or close to it) details on the new video product that should be ready to go this weekend.

The Secrets of the Handstand Quickstart Guide is a DVD showing you my system for working up to confidently holding a handstand.

A few of the clips I’ve put up on the blog are straight from the DVD. So if you’re expecting Hollywood level camera work then you may be disappointed. It’s just me talking and showing you how to do the moves. High quality information not graphics.

Along with the DVD is a newsletter delving into more detail about the specific moves and related tips and techniques. Obviously, this is for beginners.

But this is only the start. It’s the launching pad for my new monthly program Acrobat Accelerator - Insider Secrets for Hand Balancing and Acrobatic Mastery.

The definition of Acrobat is: an athlete who performs acts requiring skill, agility and coordination.

Therefore the goal of the Acrobat Accelerator program is to accelerate your acrobatic skills.

Each month will be a new DVD and newsletter covering more on hand balancing, tumbling and gymnastics feats, delving into related areas like strength training, yoga, Parkour, and many other fields. Whatever can help you get better.

Don’t worry if you’re just starting off or well practiced as there’ll be ideas and exercises for beginners and advanced Acrobats. Plus there’s more on top of the DVD and newsletter.

If you’ve invested in the Hand Balancing Mastery Course you’ll get the Quickstart and first issue as soon as they are ready.

But if you haven’t invested in the course you might be wondering how much it is?You can get the Secrets of the Handstand Quickstart Guide and a month in the Acrobat Accelerator program for…

Actually, I want to have a little fun with this. Why don’t you try and guess the price.

To make it more interesting the first person to guess the price correctly will win it and 3 months in the program for nothing.

Good Luck (guessing) and Good Hand Balancing,
Logan Christopher

P.S. Seriously, send an email (info@lostartofhandbalancing.com) or reply to this blog post to shoot out your best guess. What’ve you got to lose?

How to Kick-up into a Handstand

Posted on Saturday 22 March 2008

The kick-up is one of the most important skills you have to learn if you want to do a handstand, next to balancing with your hands and keeping your body tight. The question is, how consistent is your kick-up?I didn’t figure this out right away when I started, but if you can kick up the exact same each time then getting into and holding a handstand is easy.

If your kick-up is all over the place, then there’s no wonder why you have a hard time getting into a hand balance.

Of course, there are several different ways to kick-up. I cover all the basic ways for the beginner and even more advanced variation in the April issue of the newsletter.

My favorite regular kick-up I learned from Bob Jones in The True Art and Science of Hand Balancing. That one is shown here.

You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video

There are a bunch of fine details that make a kick-up work. I am not gonna lie and say that I never miss a single one, but after concentrating on this for some time I no longer hit only one handstand out of ten like I use to.

If you’re having trouble with yours, start practicing. Better yet get the newsletter and learn all about how to get it done, the best method of practicing, and how far you can take it.

I wish it was ready to go right now, but I’m just putting the finishing touches and final edits on it before it the newsletter and DVD’s go to press.

In the mean time, I hope you enjoy these video clips.

Good Luck and Good Hand Balancing,
Logan Christopher

P.S. You can learn more about Bob Jones’ 4-step method of kicking-up into a handstand here.

Break-thru your Plateau

Posted on Thursday 20 March 2008

What do you do when you hit a plateau?

Sometimes you just can’t seem to make anymore progress. You know, things were going great and you were progressing quickly then all of a sudden you’re stuck.

There are a couple of ways around this.

First you can just keep going. Many times if you continue to work hard, in time you will bust through it and continue to progress.

But most of the time you need to shake things up.

The beauty of this is that there are so many ways to approach your training.

You can change when you train, how long you train, and of course how you train.

The how you train can be broken into further groups ready for change. The skills you are working on. The sets, rep, or time on the exercises. Focusing on similar but different exercises and more.

If you training is feeling stale (not to be confused with boredom, but that’s another problem all together) you should implement one or more of these changes.

Even if your training is going good, a change for the better can supercharge your gains.

Which one exactly and what to do is going to depend on you and your goals. And in every case what you should do will be different.

You may be the kind of person you loves to figure out your own program. Or you may want someone to hand you a template for you to work from. Either way what’s coming soon will help.

How would you like new things to focus on every single month? A few tricks to work on to build your abilities?

This monthly program will be ready sometime next week. Before then I still have another video or two to share with you. If you missed the last couple you can check them out below.

Good Luck and Good Hand Balancing,
Logan Christopher
